About us

Unison – Croatian Music Alliance is the new umbrella organization of Croatian music associations, which assumed the role of the former Institute of Croatian Music. Unison was founded in 2015, emerging from a need to create a harmonized ecosystem in the domestic music community.

Unison's primary goal is the education of the domestic market and the promotion of the Croatian music industry, in accordance with the strategies of its member associations. It also strives to develop a better connection of Croatian music with its audience. The association brings together music institutions and professionals from the music industry who foster development in all genres of Croatian music through their active contribution.

In addition to the organization and management of the Porin Music Awards, the Papandopulo Young Musicians' Competition and the Cesarica Audience Award for Hit Song, Unison also co-produces the Rock&Off Independent Journalist Music Award, Zagrebački festival and many other music-related events. Through the PopRock.hr and Glazbeni TOP20 TV shows, and the Fokus and FokusKontrol digital platforms, the association primarily aims to create and manage projects that will help develop the national music industry.

In line with the trends and changes in the global music industry, Unison makes continuous efforts to make the Croatian music industry better and more relevant in the future.

Unison is a member of the European Music Council (EMC), European Union of Music Competitions for Youth (EMCY) and the International Music + Media Centre (IMZ).

Unison represents their joint position on the development of the national music industry while representing the collective interests of Croatian music and the entire music industry.
